To apply as a CropWings agricultural drone pilot, prepare the applicable Remote Pilot Certificate, registered and type-certified drone details, identity/KYC and operating documents. CropWings can route farmer spray requests to eligible operators where the network has demand; earnings, commission, availability and service radius depend on the accepted business terms and completed jobs.

Pilot readiness checklist

• Hold the Remote Pilot Certificate category applicable to the drone you will fly commercially.
• Keep the drone Type Certificate and Digital Sky UIN or registration evidence available for verification.
• Carry current insurance and a documented maintenance plan for batteries, chargers, pumps, nozzles, motors and props.
• Understand the current crop-specific spraying SOP, product label, airspace zone, weather and people/livestock exclusion requirements.
• Prepare service districts, languages, payload/tank capacity, crew, water/power logistics and realistic daily capacity.

How pilot onboarding should work

• Complete the applicable DGCA-authorised training and keep your certificate details current.
• Submit your identity, certification, drone, UIN, insurance and service-area documents through the pilot application flow.
• Complete CropWings verification and any safety or operating orientation required before accepting jobs.
• Accept only jobs that fit your equipment, certification, weather window and safe operating capacity.
• Close every job with the required application, payment and incident record so farmers and the network have auditable service history.
