About CropWings

CropWings is a Hyderabad-headquartered agri-drone services platform that lets farmers book DGCA-certified drone pilots for crop spraying through a mobile app. Since launch it has sprayed over 500,000 acres for more than 100,000 farmers across 200+ districts in 8 Indian states, with its deepest operations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra.
Why CropWings exists
CropWings was built in Hyderabad to close a very specific gap: at the peak of kharif, when cotton in Warangal or chilli in Guntur needs a spray within a two-to-three-day window, farm labour is hardest to find and hand-spraying exposes workers to concentrated chemicals. The CropWings app lets a farmer book a DGCA-certified drone pilot the way they would book a cab — the pilot arrives with a registered agri-drone, sprays at a uniform dose, and the farmer pays only for the acres actually covered.
Because rotor downwash drives fine droplets into the crop canopy, a spray drone typically covers an acre with 8–10 litres of fluid in five to ten minutes — work that takes a knapsack operator the better part of a day. That speed matters most during outbreaks, when pink bollworm in cotton or thrips in chilli can spread faster than manual crews can respond.

How the coupon model works
Agri-input companies — makers of pesticides, fungicides and crop nutrients — sponsor spray discounts on CropWings. A farmer who buys a participating product receives a coupon code that is applied at booking, cutting the effective per-acre spraying cost. The sponsor in turn gets verified, geo-tagged proof that its product was applied correctly, on real acreage, by a certified pilot. The input company funds better application, the farmer pays less, and the pilot gets steady work.
Where we operate
Operations are deepest in Andhra Pradesh (paddy across the Krishna–Godavari delta, chilli in the Guntur–Prakasam belt), Telangana (the Warangal–Adilabad cotton tract, turmeric and maize around Nizamabad) and Maharashtra (cotton and soybean in Vidarbha, tur in Marathwada). Beyond these three, CropWings reaches five more states through its certified pilot network, subject to pilot availability in your district — open the app and add your village to check live coverage.
The team and the pilot network
The Hyderabad headquarters at Ten Madhapur, HITEC City houses the agronomy, flight-operations, pilot-onboarding and farmer-support teams that keep the platform running. In the field, CropWings is powered by a distributed network of independent, DGCA-certified pilots across 200+ districts — every pilot holds a Remote Pilot Certificate and every drone is registered on the DGCA's Digital Sky platform before the first job is assigned.
Sister platform: Drone Store India
For farmers, FPOs and entrepreneurs who would rather own equipment than book a service, CropWings runs a sister commerce platform, dronestoreindia.com, which sells agricultural drones, batteries, chargers, nozzles and spare parts with pan-India shipping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is CropWings headquartered and where does it operate most?
CropWings is headquartered at Ten Madhapur, HITEC City, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081. Its deepest field operations are in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra — the Godavari delta paddy belt, the Warangal–Adilabad cotton tract and Vidarbha's cotton–soybean region. Five more states are reachable via the CropWings pilot network, subject to pilot availability in your district — check the app.
How do agri-input companies partner with CropWings on spray coupons?
An input company sponsors a per-acre discount tied to its product — for example a fungicide sold in the Guntur chilli belt. Farmers who buy it receive coupon codes redeemed at booking, and the sponsor receives verified application data: geo-tagged completion, acreage and crop. Companies can start a coupon partnership by writing to connect@cropwings.com.
How many acres has CropWings sprayed so far?
CropWings has sprayed over 500,000 acres for more than 100,000 farmers across 200+ districts in 8 Indian states. The bulk of that acreage is kharif-season work — cotton in Telangana and Vidarbha, paddy in the Krishna–Godavari delta, and chilli in the Guntur–Prakasam belt — booked and tracked through the CropWings app.
